Project Muse - New Platform - Endnote issues

Project Muse have launched their new platform which isn't quite finished yet. Features are being added over the next few weeks.

Most relevant to TCD is that the 'Export Citations' function is not installed yet. They have supplied this work-around :
"You create a text document and import the text into EndNote. The citation in EndNote format is available on each article page. See View Citation on the right side bar on the article page. Click on the EndNote tab, copy the citation and paste in a text document. Import the text document with all the citations into Endnote."


Otherwise, all links from the catalogue, etc., should work as expected. Please let Clíona know at once if they don't.

Early English Books Online (EEBO) - 1 hour Training Webinar

ProQuest is providing an online introductory overview of EEBO. It will cover how Early English Books Online (EEBO) can support research into early modern literature, language, culture and history. 

This webinar covers content, functions and features, as well as tips for using Early English Books Online (EEBO) on the Chadwyck-Healey interface.  The session is scheduled for 60 minutes to cover:

• Print to electronic – the EEBO collections
• Content examples
• Key and specialist functionality
• Live demo
       - Basic, Advanced searching
       - Variant spellings & Variant forms
       - Browsing by author, Thomason Tracts, Periodicals
       - Output options

Reinstated subscription: IHS Construction Information Service

This was identified as a priority resource by the Head of the School of Engineering . Following on further negotiations by the Library with the supplier and the Faculty, we are pleased to be able to confirm the subscription has been reinstated for 2012.

Oxford Language Dictionaries Online (OLDO) - New resource

• TCD Library has recently purchased access to a new online resource: Oxford Language Dictionaries Online (OLDO).
  
  The Oxford Language Dictionaries Online website features fully searchable, comprehensive bilingual dictionaries, and study materials that provide extra help with learning and using an expanding range of languages. The languages provided are French-English / English-French and German-English / English-German.
