Web of Science / new platform:
Thomson Reuters have changed the name of their product platform from Web of Knowledge to Web of Science.
Web of Science / new resources:
IReL has just completed a new 3-year deal with Thomson Reuters. This
deal has resulted in additional indexes being activated on the new Web
of Science platform: Conference Proceedings Citation
Index; Book Citation Index; Current Chemical Reactions; Index Chemicus;
Biosis Citation Index; Current Contents Connect; Data Citation Index;
Derwent Innovations Index; Zoological Record.
Finding the databases:
In the catalogue, Web of Knowledge is now Web of Science (all databases)
and Web of Science has been re-titled: Web of Science Core Collection.
The new resources will be added to the notes on the catalogue records to
make them findable, but will not yet be listed individually on the
databases page.
Browser:
In testing access to the new platform, we have noted several issues with using IExplorer. These issues do not affect
TCD alone. We are investigating solutions with ISServices. In the meantime, please use Firefox or another browser.
Training:
We are in consultation with the provider to organise training on the new Web of Science platform and all its resources.
